- What is the initial step to request of boston Yau Yat Seng License?
Submit an application form via our website with the minimum financial requirement consideration as a per unit license are a net worth of at least RM600,000.00 and liquidity (cash or cash equivalents) of at least RM 700.000.00
- What is the initial License Fee?
The license fee is RM100, 000 upon confirmation.
- What are the monthly maintenance fees?
The company will collect a management fee of 5% and an Advertising & Promotions fee of 3% - based on the total gross monthly sales turnover plus 5% government tax if applied.
- What are the other deposit and cost involved?
Stock security deposit fee of RM 35,000 which is refundable upon termination of the Licensing Agreement.
- What is the investment for boston Yau Yat Seng License?
It is vary and depend on the size of outlet and the other factors. The estimated set up cost is in between RM 550,000.00 to RM 750,000.00. The total cost will include: all equipment, the entire store fit out, the initial license fee, the stock security deposit as well as the training fee.
- Do I need to choose a location before submitting my application?
Yes, you will need to propose the location enclosed with your application form of where you intend to operate the boston Yau Yat Seng concept restaurant outlet. The management will evaluate the location based on few main factors.
- What considerations and size specifications are required for boston Yau Yat Seng restaurant?
For shop lots, the considerations will be “Corner Lots” with a minimum built up of 2,500 square feet. For commercial buildings the minimum built up will be 1,500 square feet.
- What kind of training does boston Yau Yat Seng provide?
Licensees’ team must complete the boston Yau Yat Seng Operation & Management Analysis program.
- What kind of operations support will the Licensee receive?
These are includes continues update of the operation Manual and other A&P materials as well as the ongoing training. In addition, the boston Yau Yat Seng Management & Training Executive will visit each licensed outlet regularly to ensure that every standard operation procedure is followed.
- Do I need to be involved in day-to-day outlet operations?
One of the partners/shareholders has to be appointed as the Managing Principal of the licensed business. The Managing Principal is required to undergo the full course of boston Yat Yau Seng Operation & Management analysis program and also to spend a reasonable amount of time to oversee the overall aspects of the boston Yau Yat Seng licensed business. However, competent outlet managers and staff can be hired to manage the daily operations of the licensed business.
- What is the estimated time frame to complete the outlet’s set up?
The estimated time frame is 3 months to complete the set up of outlet.
- What is the estimated time frame to complete training for the staffs?
Estimated time frame to complete staff training is 2 months.
- How many estimated workforce is required?
It is depending on size of outlet. For an outlet which is roughly 2000sqft, you need 2 supervisor, 1 manager, 4 kitchen staffs, 2 bar staffs, 4 full / part time floor staffs.
- Would Licensor be involved in the recruitment of the staff?
Actually we are not involved in the recruitment, however, we could provide assistance to you upon required.
- Would the stock security and marketing deposit be refund after certain period?
It could be negotiated and further discussion with the Licensor.
- The initial license fee has to be renewed every 5 year and the licensing fee subjected to adjust and any special offer will be given to the existing Licensee?
Yes, the initial license fee is for 5 years contract. You need to renew the contract after 5 years which subjected to adjustment. However, we will give a special offer to the existing Licensee.
